Times are extremely tough. Every month, folks are laid off in the hundreds of thousands. Losing job is extremely difficult, especially when it’s increasingly getting harder and harder to get another job. I just finished a book by Joshua Piven. The name of the book is “The Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook (Paperback)“. Joshua Piven has some encouraging words about you if you are in this kind of situation.
Sometimes his answers are not very pretty. He says “You lose your job, you run out of savings or a safety net, have to sell home, it’s a down market and you can’t sell your house, you move, pull the kids out of school, it’s not easy to get another job and your whole lifestyle has to change. Then there’s homelessness, maybe spiraling alcoholism, and then living on the side of the train tracks.”
He gives a very gloomy picture of a jobless person at first but then he gives some solutions to get out of that misery. It’s good read and some ideas he presents will be beneficial and hopefully fruitful to you.
In a Nutshell
If you are unemployed and it’s getting harder to get a job, don’t despair. Read the book and hopefully you will get something out of it.
