Are you looking for something more out of your current job? Do you love your work but feel as if you need more flexibility in life?
You want to be able to do the things you want, when you want, and still keep the money flowing in. Well, you’re not alone. That’s what most people are looking for in a work/life balance, they just don’t take the necessary steps to find other alternatives.
Most of us get comfortable doing the same thing day in and day out, afraid of taking a risk. In fact, at least 70% of jobs can be done remotely. Whether you’re looking to switch things up completely or are just looking for a good side-hustle you can make good money with working from home, here are some jobs to consider.
-
Teaching
Teaching online is a great way to earn extra income. You must have a teaching degree or be certified in a certain field to do this. If that’s you, you earn an extra $2,000/month teaching kids online with VIPKID, community college, or other organization.

Search Engine Evaluators
There are many companies that hire search engine evaluators. Places like Amazon and Google are always looking for them. A search engine evaluation basically cleans up the engines and makes sure the right things are popping up when people search for them. The starting range for these types of positions is around $13/Hr.
-
Customer Service
Companies love to outsource customer service representatives. It’s really popular among small business owners and small office corporations. As a home-based customer service agent, you will take inbound calls and place outbound calls to that company.
Companies like Home Shopping Network, 1-800-flowers, and Hilton Hotels outsource their customer service to remote workers. The starting pay for these positions is around $8/hr.
-
Real Estate
There are two routes you can take here. You can rent properties yourself or you can become a real estate agent. Real Estate agents are independent contractors. That being said, you can take an online real estate course, pass the state exam, and be on your way to selling houses directly from the comfort of your own home.
The salary of a career in real estate varies but some are known to make over $100,000/yr. Renting your own properties is pretty easy these days, and you can use third party services to help with gather rent payments and more.
When looking for a property management company, be sure they have experience with properties and tenants similar to yours.

Start Your Own Business
If there is something that you do, something that you love to do, and you can’t find that specific job out there; start your own business. This is probably the best way to earn money from home because with passion comes success.
Take the leap and start your own baking business, sell those scarves on Etsy, or write those stories that you love to write. And get paid for it! Do whatever you want to do.
You can do virtually any job you want to from the comfort of your own home. Working from home has recently become a popular option in the job force. Slowly more and more companies are opening up to the idea of it.
Taking up a job from home can really pay off in the long haul. It’s a great way to earn extra monthly income. And it’s a great way to make a full-time income.
