Searching for banking, credit and finance in general using my favorite search engine, I came across this rather fine explanation of the credit crisis from Jonathan Jarvis.
If you have ten minutes and want to understand how we got into this mess, watch the video. Jonathan offers an overview of the credit crisis.
If you have been struggling to understand what went wrong with the American economy, this will give you some of the basics.
Remember to turn things around in your life and to have a good credit ratings, first and foremost, you have to change your mindset. Anything is good – video or audio, but it is you who can and will change things in your personal finances for the better.

There are other sites I found, for example, NPR, under All Things Considered, has an audio presentation of Global Pool of Money Got Hungry. Listen to it. It’s about 13-minute talk about “Rising defaults on sub prime mortgages in the U.S. have become a global financial crisis.”
