You Need Extremely Sharp Knife To Cut Accumulated Debt Fats

For some folks [read millions] who are carrying huge debts under their belt, extreme measures may be necessary in their financial life to start the long journey of getting out of debt. Blogs after blogs about debt have been published, books have been in the store collecting dust [and debt in the form of inventory cost] and magazines of all nature have shed some light on how to get out of debt.

Accumulated debt fats

If you look and carefully read the nutritious facts of anything that you eat and drink, per the U.S. Agriculture Department, vendors not only state the saturated fat contents but recently they have added trans fat as well. That will eventually kill you and so will accumulated debt fats. The former will kill you physically, the latter will kill you financially.

In some case, financial death has turned into physical death. It will “delete” you from the surface of the earth, nowhere to be seen. Your kids, if they do remember you, will curse you instead of praying for you if you left them your own created and accumulated debt. Very few people follow Christ to forgive other people no matter how close they are, biologically and otherwise. Let’s hope your kids follow the path of forgiveness.

Where do you stand?

If you are one of the millions who are suffocating under mounds of debt, you have two major choices:

  1. Go on a debt diet and follow a gradual but consistent process
  2. Cut the fats that you have accumulated over the years with a sharp financial knife, once and for all.

Both kinds must follow the age-old mantra: Spend less than you make. In other words, make that your way of life and don’t budge from it for the rest of your life. That way you would leave something for your kids that they can be proud of.

Read and act accordingly

Reading about debt is one thing, acting on your reading positively and constructively is entirely another thing. If you learn a new tactic how to get out of debt, act on it fairly and squarely. Give the process some time and eventually, hopefully before you are “deleted” from the surface of the earth, you would leave something positive [in the form of cash and assets] to your kids that apparently seem to be so near and dear to you in this world.

Change your mindset

Your mindset can follow in three directions:

  1. Spend less than you make. You will never be in debt.
  2. Spend more than you make. You will always be in debt.
  3. Spend all what you make. You will never be in debt but will never have anything for a rainy day – emergencies and such.

In a Nutshell
I have written articles on this blog about what debt is and how to get out of it while you are still living. Good debt or bad debt, both kinds have stayed with us. You can lead a life full of fun but with tranquility once you get rid of bad debt. Click on Debt below to read more about it.
