Tips How To Make Money Online

I guess like so many others, I have been looking for some venues to make money online. When I look at some of the websites – the one by Lisa Irby and a blog by John Chow, they seem to make six-figure income.
John is making better than $30K a month and Ameet Mehta at one time was making upwards of $90,000 ($90K) a month. Lisa says she started her website in 2002 so her secret is hard work plus, I think, she started relatively early.
But John Chow blog has been around for a little more than 2 years and he is making excellent money.
I don’t know what his secret is. But he owns another website as well, so maybe that helped when he started promoting his blog.
I tried a website selling web hosting services in the beginning of 2003. That time, I didn’t know and I still don’t know much about marketing so I quit that website.
I bought a convenience store in May 2004 but the business was not doing well and I sold it 10 months later for a $20,000 profit. I worked more than 15 hours a day, 7 days a week, in that store, but I could not move past the money I had made the first month in that store.
Then a little over a year ago, I started the website http://www.mywebsiteworkout.com after more than 3 months of research. I am still learning.
The website teaches beginners how to create their first website. Then in late September 2008, I started a blog http://www.mywebsiteworkout.com/wordpress/. It is about how to work with WordPress blog platforms. Then I started this blog, the one you are reading now about personal finances.

Scams
There are some websites that when I download and then exit, a popup window appears about a website or blog.
The website address is http://www.chrisgetspaid.com/. So I started reading it and this morning, I clicked on Free Google Cash link on the website, gave them my information and right before paying $1.95 with my credit card, I stopped.
I searched for reviews of that website and low and behold, every review that I read was negative about it. One review said that after paying $1.95 or $1.99, there is a monthly recurring fee of $78. It’s hard to cancel the membership.
Another website http://www.matthewsmoney.com/ is almost exactly the same. I am glad I didn’t pay for any of them. So be aware of some attractive words like that.

The BIG Question
The question is how to make money online, and it’s not a very easy question to answer, not for me anyway.
It seems there are many ways to earn money online, I have not found it yet. But I keep trying.
After close to two years, doing online research, Google seems to have some of the best programs available to make money.
That’s what I hear.
In April, with the website and this blog, I made $3.28 from AdSense. I think of it this way – I started out with nothing. But then again some folks may say I still have most of it left.

Make Money as SEO Expert
SEO stands for search engine optimization. SEO is one of the most chic (pronounced sheek) professions all over the world.
SEO experts are in demand as search engines are being used every day. These are people who can get good rankings for a website.
If you want to rank well for cash keyword, then SEO will help you do that. There has been talk online that some of the SEO experts are earning 6-figure or perhaps 7-figure income.
But then again, it is like any other field, you have to excel in it to make some extraordinary money.

Affiliate programs are another way to earn Google cash.
It seems that many people around the world earn money with these programs. Some say it’s easy.
There are websites like Commission Junction and Google Affiliate network that you can make money off of.
Study them, understand them and if you think it’s for you, then get membership in them.

Blogging
Blogging is one of the most cool thing these days, and many people in the world are blogging.
Some people use it to market their programs, others use it to make money online, and it’s getting more and more a popular tool.
Blogging is really fun, you can start a blog with almost any topic and start making money. Like I said before, John Chow is making money off of his blog.

Google AdSense
Google AdSense is a program by Google inc, which is free of cost and helps you to add codes to your website so that when every visitor comes to your websites and clicks on the ads, you will get paid.
It’s a wonderful program that has helped millions of people all around the world to make money online.
I haven’t made millions from AdSense yet but I am just a notch away from it. Last month, I made $3.28 – getting there – very close to a million now.

So what is PPC and AdWords. Adwords is a Program by Google where you can purchase position on the Google websites.
It’s one of the best advertising tools available to anyone. PPC and Adwords is a simple tool. Almost anyone can use it.
People from all around the world can advertise their products and services online with this. Google team will also support you with it.

Selling Ebooks
Ebooks can be one of the most powerful ways to get rich online and use Google to earn cash.
I think Ameet Mehta started with ebooks affiliation program and he used AdWords as PPC.
In a Nutshell
There are, it seems, many ways to make money. I have not made any. That does not mean, you cannot either.
Go ahead and create a website or create a blog. WordPress seems to be the more popular blog platform. At least, do it for fun.
