U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and some economic experts have identified four major industries where an explosive growth of jobs is predicted. Granted presently the economy seems to be on a rebound, the job growth is slow and gradual. However, in the next few years, some industries would grow more than others.
If you are looking and want to get your career going, there are some specific industries where demand may outstrip supply.
Consider the following four explosive industries.
-
Health Care
First and foremost, the entire health-care system seems to be growing at a healthy rate especially when the Executive and Legislative Branches of the Government have given it so much importance and new laws have been passed to that effect, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Home-care aides and home-health aides are two of the disciplines in the health-care system that have been predicted to grow 50% in the next 10 years.
-
Biotechnology
Biotechnology jobs used to be limited to research and development and a few chosen personnel with Ph.D. level of education. However, it now is a main street discipline like so many others. In other words, you don’t have to have the highest level of education anymore to get into this industry.
For some folks, jobs in biotechnology might seem “nerdy” and most jobs in this explosive industry do not sound as glamorous. However, they do cover all aspects of manufacturing, sales, marketing, and administration.
-
Green Industries
In order to have alternative to oil and gas where prices are on the rise again, there is an increasing attention given to the green or alternative energy markets.
It has become like any other industry where the demand for professionals, finance, engineering, programming, executive, marketing, sales, and service jobs abound in all aspects of green energy, including wind, water, biomass, geothermal, tidal, and yes, solar.
-
Networking & Communications
This is another industry that will see at least 40% growth over the next 10 years. Here, jobs like database administrator or network analyst will be in greater demand with exceptionally bigger paycheck.
An increasing number of companies are using networks to speed up office communications and install new programs and software to enhance efficiency in their productivity.
In a Nutshell
You need to do more research on your own. Some experts in Human Resources say it is not good business to follow the trend. That maybe true, but the above explosive industries are experiencing growth that is hard to ignore.
